Empty: A Poem.A Life.

The sounds of the night are lonely
They creep in to the crevasses of life
Till nothing, nothing remains.
And makes you conclusively hollow.
You try desperately to connect to a world beyond the real
There is no one.
There never was.
There is no one left.
Where did they all go?
No don’t! Don’t hope.
Hope is a dangerous thing.
I dare not dream of a better tomorrow.
What if it’s like today?
Forgotten time
Lost souls
Heartbreaking memories
A maze, a race, a quest.
Let it stop
The energies have changed.
I refuse to be strong.
Let me cling to my loneliness.
In the death of night.
It is my comfort.
It resonates deep within me.
Even when the dawn breaks…
I am the Queen of Solitude.

very well-expressed thoughts. I wouldn't be surprised if you add poetess to your well-feathered hat. It would be nice if you could visit my blog too - a couple of very old poems are there and a couple of short stories. Would love your feedback. BTW, I have ordered your book, Losing my Virginity & Other Dumb Ideas yesterday. I have written something on those lines too, or I guess I may have. I would know once I get your book.

This is like reading my mind! In fact, at certain points, it acts as a revelation of unknown truth too!

You write so beautifully. I'm glad I started following a writer I can relate, connect and appreciate!

Reality of life expressed beautifully and I personally think that nothing is left and nothing left alone as long as an indivisual ready to create different or the real world and for that Hope is required. But it sound good as far as confusion is concerned. I dont know whether I am able to grasp the exact meaning of your poem, if not plz be kind to correct me.
